View Full Version : Hi-Launcher blank

Whipped out Hi-Launcher again after a long hiatus... and the menu comes up as a blank white screen. Doh! A search of here and Google shows that a few other people have had this same problem, but no resolution. Anybody have an idea?

I have no iead how to fix it. I just went to the new version after I uninstalled everything, and it started to work :) The only thing I had to do was remake the menu, but that was no big deal for me

This happens occasionally to me, too.  I do a soft reset to recover.  Until this is fixed, I'm going to wait before buying...

I am running version 2.1 on my NR70v and am not having any problems

I tried the latest version and it still did it after a few hours of use. No hacks, other than PXAClocker and disabling that doesn't help.

I have used Hi-Launcher since it first came out, going through all the versions, up to the latest 2.2, without any of the problems you mention. I suggest you contact RaNo, the developer, on this forum or on the Hi-Launcher site, to get some serious help.

FWIW, the only time I experienced white screens in any app, was due to LauncherX 1.1. Switching to AppShelf solved all my problems.

Feh... I just installed McPhling instead. Does the same thing, more or less. Thanks folks.

Hmmm...haven't heard of that bug. I've used HiLauncher since it's inception, and have never had a problem...

To everyone having the "blank menu" problem:

Performing the following steps should definitely help:

1. Uninstall Hi-Launcher completely (i.e. with all its settings, e.g. with the "Delete" command of the built-in applications launcher).
2. Perform a soft reset.
3. Install the original version and try again.

By "original version" (either trial or full) I mean the one taken from PalmGear (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&prodID=52503) , Handango (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productId=90933) , pdassi (http://pdassi.de/product.php?prod_id=13489), www.hilauncher.com or www.ranosoft.net, as well as from affiliate stores, like the one on ClieSource (http://cliesource.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&prodid=52503&catid=0)
