Problem with Powerrun on NX70

Anyone else have this problem?

I used Powerrun to move WordToGo and SheetToGo to memory stick, but every time that I Hotsync both applications get reinstalled into my Clie's RAM. I then have a copy in RAM and on the memory stick (leaving me dangerously low on RAM).

How can I keep this from happening on every Hotsync?

I believe Word To Go has to stay in RAM for HotSyncing. Sheet to go can stay in the /Palm/Launcher/ folder.

I finally found a reference, thanks to "aaronchow" (posted 2-20-2003)


I manged to put my Documents-to-Go in this workaround way:

- Moved WordToGo, SheetToGo, etc., into /PROGRAM/LAUNCHER folder
- than use PowerRUN just to move "Documents" into MS

I did move Word and Sheet to /PROGRAM/LAUNCHER and used PR to move "Documents" to MS. It seems to all work OK, and I have not had either reinstall into memory. One oddity, launching WordToGo or SheetToGo brings up the PowerRun window as if PowerRun is still handling it.

I looked in PowerRun, and "Documents" is the only thing shown by PR in Internal or Memory Card. My guess here is that both WordToGo and SheetToGo use "Documents" somehow to run themselves, thus getting the PowerRun window when I launch either of the 2 apps.I manged to put my Documents-to-Go in this workaround way:

I have had this same problem with D2G and Powerrun. I solved it by converting to Wordsmith and Tinysheet. I like them much better than the D2G stuff and I can keep them on the MS
