512 memory card not working - need help!

I just bought a 512 MB magicgate memory stick and it doesn't work! Any suggestions? I have a SJ-33. I tried to format the card, but it says "This card can't be formated". If I try to access the card at all, it says "Check the media". I can't even access it through MS Import - it says "No memory stick detected". The stick shows up in windows, but it's unformatted, and windows can't format it.

Sorry. MS Pro or MagicGate is only for ARM processor OS5 Clies. OS 4 Clies can only take the 128 MB card at maximum. (Or 128 x 2, which is 256).

Yes - in stores, media marked with "Memory Stick Pro" is unusable in the SJ-33.

I hope your store has a better media card return policy than most ...

I bought it from BeachAudio through Amazon.com They emailed an RMA number today. Since the card isn't defective, there is a 10% restock fee. Overall, I'm pretty happy that I'll get most of my $$$ back.

I just wish my SJ33 would handle more than 128 MB at a go. I can fit 2 - 20 minute futurama segments in 128MB, but I WANT MORE!!!!!

The best you can do with any SJ series Clié is to use a 2x128MB memory stick.

You'll have a total of 256MB, but only 128MB will be accessible at a time, you'll have to remove the card, flip a swich and put it back in to use the other 128MB.

Will the newer OS 5 clies use more than 128? Can they use the memory stick pro? What's the limit on memory stick size for the TH-55?

limit for clie that use MS Pro are 2gig at the moment.

The theoretical limit is around 25 GB
