I have the NX-73. After recording videos with the clie, I often move them onto my hard drive. Viewing them on the computer is a piece of cake. However, when I try to bring them back onto my clie, there seems to be no way they will be reconized.

I am aware of the movieplayer 1.01 update, which I have already installed and confirmed on my clie. However, I am wondering if the installation actually worked. I still don't have the "update" function avilable to me when trying to refresh thumbnails in movieplayer.

I have tried converting the mqv files using the image converter. however, this has caused me more grief... the resultant files freeze my clie and are not the same size as the original.

I have tried other things, like using an existing incorrect thumbnail file (mai) and renaming my mqv file to match the expected file name. that didn't work either.

I've written in to Sony's e-mail support. It seems that the person who responded merely copied text from a pamphlet or something whithout even reading my question properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your problem is probably one of two things.

1) Movie has to be in the movie folder ( /MQ_ROOT/100MQV01/ )
2) Movie needs file name of "MOV#####.MQV", replacing the # with a number.

There is a video forum if you need help with other video issues, but I think that this is all you need to fix your current problems.

name your file mov00009.mqv it should work, and not interfere with others
