Megalauncher 4.x Praise Reports....only......

I just wanted to make a thread with all positive Megalauncher reviews. I have been using Zlauncher ever since they added the ability to drop down the category list with the back button (having been a devout Yishow user before), but now I am swithing over to MegaLauncher 4.x. It looks great on my NR70 and runs great too. I put Praise Reports only because there are enough negative MegaLauncher 4.x reviews out there for one to browse through. I have been looking for some positive reports, but have found few. Those that haven't given MegaLauncher 4.x a try, don't be discouraged by the all the negative reviews out there, and don't be persuaded into thinking it's not an excellent launcher and worth the price. Keep up the excellent work MegaSoft and all you skinners out there. Let the Praises Commence!!! :D

Well, they didn't leave me hanging, and the past still doesn't take away from the excellency of their current product. How, exactly, did they leave everyone hanging? They still came out with an excellent launcher.

Say what you want but I used ML 3.22 ALL the way till 4 came out. Yes I was hacked that it took them so long but that was then this is now. ML is still the best laid out, versatile and stable launcher for my use. Yes we all have a fav but this is about ML and as such am VERY happy with it. As I said before NO I do not excuse there customer service, tech staff for their lousy service. I am SURE that it has cost them dearly already so I can safely say, pentense paid! Now DON'T let it happen again and keep up the great work.

Don't be scared by their old image. Give it a try for the brand new 4.x

Really looks great with Hog's Flotte skin and background. The latest beta Maxim sent me resolved the problem with crashing when I ran "Refresh Applications" from the menu. Still can't use Slow Launch like I want because they have disabled some of the Jog and Back button functionality. Seems very stable now. They still have a long way to go to catch up with ZLauncher in ease and efficiency of storing and changing backgrounds, skins and icons sets.

I also like the password protected category, not sure how I'll use it yet and I think protected categories should also be able to be hidden categories. Shouldn't have to chose between one or the other.

Hey, that's about as positive as I can get about it right now.

I second that about how good MegaL looks with the Flotte skin. Definitely better than any ZL skin.

ML4's tool icons and tabs are big enough that even the largest fingers can easily use them w/o fear of overlapping to the next tool. No need for a stylus. Wilber-Force said it best in another thread: "The bottom 4 buttons (The most they can do with a space that is 320pixles wide is put FOUR buttons on it?!) are so big it would be no trouble to use my forehead as a stylus and accurately tap on them." Now that's convenience. :)

Okay, tried ZL again. Better, but started to reach for the hammer again. So, back to ML. Found a way to run it from MS. Life is sweet. And I really like the Flotte skin.:D

I love MegaLauncher4!! It has all the features I need and is very stable with my NX70. If you are someone on the go probably you'll need an easy to use launcher with all basic functions. That is, I do not need to read books or browse my pics with the launcher. The name says it all: 'Launcher'. You can easily start any application you want and perform many of the system tasks with a highly customizable interface. And for the '4 buttons', most of the zlauncher and yishow users 'mis-tap' on the buttons because they are too small. The four buttons on ML4 are far more convenient to use and actually there are more than 15 buttons there waiting for you to customize and use with just one tap..

anyways, tastes and preferences.... ml4 works great for me..

WHo needs 4, 3.22 is still my fav. At least I hear more good reviews from old timers here and Festus comes out with a cliebutton skin for it, I am not budging.

Still waiting on support from Megasoft with a "bad experience" where ML4 crashes by CLIE and then does a hard reset! What is sad is the result is reproducable!
I emailed Megasoft last week. No news.
I emailed them yesterday. No news.
So much for "response usually within 24 hours.."

Perhaps it's experiences like these that leave a nasty taste in my mouth. (This isn't the first time, LauncherX was another culprit).

I like how it's almost "exactly" like 3.22 (which is excellent), just with 16-bit colour support and background image support (which I don't use, BTW). Good that they didn't mess things up.

I've been very happy with ML4.x. I used 3.2.2 right up til 4 was released. I had a small problem that I reported & was sent a fix in a day or so. I also have registered Yishow but I only use it for making VG skin sets (matching backgrounds).

The reason there are so many choices for launchers is because one size does not fit all. ML fits my needs.

Just install it and love it, Try Yishow but it takes forever to load up my apps from MS. ML work much faster to me...
