View Full Version : UX50 Freezes when wifi Initializing

When i click either the scan or connect buttons in the wireless lan setup screen, it stays on the initializing screen for a long period of time. The wifi light blinks but it doesn't connect. Please help!!

this is the "nightmare" of every UX50 user .. you have to send your clie back to sony for repair .. nothing else works

ARGH! I have the same problem! It JUST happened tonight...

Maybe I can get the screen whine fixed, too. Has anyone had this fixed by Sony? How long did it take?

I was afraid of this. I just got off the phone with Sony support. The guy was not understanding a damn thing I was telling him. He said that I need to download this thing:

Unfortunately, I am on a mac, and they only have the .exe for this damn thing. Can someone give me the .prc for this?

And I am 100% sure this will not solve the problem, but I thought I'd give it a try. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem and sony told me the same thing. I can't download that file, however, as sony's FTP seems to be down.

even if you got the prc you still need the PC side of it to configure the connections.

=/

i want a mac but all these incompatible softwares are discouraging me.

I DL and installed http://ciscdb.sel.sony.com/cgi-bin/...72&PASSVAL2=SMB and still have no luck. The Mobile Connection Wizard didnt seem to do anything or install anything on the palm??? waz up???

The wifi worked last weekend fine... rebooted, resynched, charged, even hard reset and no luck.. I just believe it has to be a software prob.
