i go to cliesource, is it possible to search up topics?
yes it is. get the wireless lan card and install netfront
and only the WL100 or WL110 sony cards will work
there are plenty of mail programs

Unfortunately, no. Sony hard-coded the Clie to only work with their branded wireless cards. I guess in theory, someone could hack at the CFWL files to mask & return the proper hardware identification string that the Clie's expecting, but I'm sure it's more involved than that. I believe Cliepet & Pelaca are the resident I/O experts & could probably elaborate better than I can.
As enterprising as they are, my feeling is that the answer is still going to be no. :(

Hi,
I have the NX70V, too and can get on the internet with it quite well. I am using the WL 110 WiFi and a Targus modem that I bought via this email address: LSAlford@rcn.com and can obtain email faster than on my Pentium II laptop.
The modem ran between $35 and $40, but was well worth it, making the NX70V much more versatile and independent from your syncing computer. The people at that email address do have a few of the modems left and will give you their phone number to help walk you through a pretty easy install, should you need to do so.
If you need guidance on your PDA, let me know by emailing me. I have just about all the bells and whistles for it and can let you know what I found to be useful and wasteful.
Good luck...it's a great little PDA that really competes with my laptop in almost every way.

I know that this more properly belongs on the Classifieds forum, but this may be more helpful here:
I have a couple of unopened CF modems available. "JetJockey" /Steve (see post above) purchased one from me and has told me that he's very satisfied.

You won't be able use other CF Wifi cards even thought someone fully unleash the CFIO features of the NX CF slot
You'll also need a driver/software from the hardware developers !
which currently only available for PPC/PC
and they won't develop one unless there are plenty of PalmsOS PDAs with a CF in the market, which is not likely to occur

He is talking about a dialup modem. Look at the link in the next post.

I have the 110 WiFi and the Targus modem. Two seperate items, but both work very well. The modem is surprisingly fast (not like broadband, but...) and I am pleased with the purchase.
