I bought a 256 mem stick.

I read the manual about the stick
installed ms export

I went to a site and dl a game

Well now I'm completely lost.

I found the game in the files but couldn't open it.
so I dl another game

http://www.freewarepalm.com/games/theprison.shtml

and I don't know what I did but I found it

what I would like to know is are there simple instructions on HOW dl a game or something because I can't find any.

thanks:confused:

well, in general:
- you need winzip or winrar
- open the downloaded file
- there is typically a note file which tells you which prcs (sometimes relative to which clie you have) and which databases you may need to install
- locate at least the prc (this is the actual palm os app)
- double click on the prc
- you will then see the built in installer appear (you must have the clie desktop installed)

have you performed your first hotsync yet?

tip - go to the book store, find a palmos book, and sit down with a cup of coffee and read it. it will more clearly explain the installation process

I have winzip I save it and opened it.
I know how to hot sync
I actually got the prision game on the clie and my daughter is playing it. I'm not sure what happened to the other game. I'll have to look later. I really wanted it to go on the ms. I think right now it's just on the clie.
thanks

the easiest way to move or load a game to your memory stick is to use either zlauncher or launcherx, or powerrun.

many people find zlauncher to be the better choice.

in general if you don't use some sort of 3rd party file mover, you should load the game/app to the laucher directory, via either hotsync, msimport, or card reader.

what directory is your game on? does your game require databases?

via the 'delete' command or 'version', you can find if the game is in ram, or use cliefiles to see if it is in ram or your memory stick.

One miscellaneous tip/bit of trivia, update the builtin ClieFiles application. After this, you can save the zip files directly to your memory stick, and ClieFiles can unzip them to any directory on the memory stick for you.

But yah. If the game is only one file, like Unregistered said, put it into the X:\Palm\Launcher\ folder.
