Anybody know if launcherX is planning an update soon? I tried emailing them but no response??? And what new features are they putting in the update if you know?

They updated and called it ZLauncher.

LOL....I like my LauncherX and I keep seeing people tout the features of their favorite launcher and I'm tempted to see if I'm missing something but truthfully I love the way LauncherX works and I like the new active skins and ease of use for everything. I can't see that that I'm missing anything. What are benefits that I am too thick to see? What's wrong with LauncherX? Why are you even looking for update? I haven't had a stich of problems since I registered it.

No problems but they can always add in features to make it even better!!!!!

I have to agree with Dripps, Launcher X has worked well for me. I think that after reviewing Zlauncher and the others, I have decided that Launcher X gives me greater degree of organization. The only thing more I could ask for be increased graphics ability.

Dropped by the LX site today and read the "legal" section. Very interesting read. Minor updates are FREE, which are considered .x of the current version, such as 1.03. But the next revision to say 2.x IS NOT FREE they say. Seems like for $20 the key features lacking they better give upgrades. I bet the missing homer will be in 2.x. I may dispute the charge on my card as a fraud issue due to the lack of promised features and support as expressed in their early release days.

I personally am pissed off about the whole Launcher X deal. I was a long-time Launcher III user, which was once the best launcher around. I "cross-graded" to Launcher X, and part of the reason I did was their promise of Homer, true Active Skins, future enhancements, etc.

Add the fact that it appears from reading this board that Launcher X support ranges from poor to non-existent, I'm not sure why anyone would give their money to this company.

I assumed that the "missing" features would be forthcoming shortly after the Launcher X release, and they have not.

a "Homer" feature when used, instantly tells you where the closest Duff beer and 'doh'nuts are.
