I use mine sometimes. The alarms are so loud on my SJ33 that they scare the crap out of me when they go off, but it's nice to have a little "jolt" in the morning.

You mean the built-in one that comes with the Clie? I can't stand that one!

I use CityTime as my world clock. Simply the best world time display IMHO.

MegaClock every morning (Ex. weekends, of course). I keep it in flash, and it has customizable snooze alarms (v. important to a snooz-a-holic like me!)

Yes, I used BigClock as my alarm each morning when I had my S300 and S320, and when I went color on the N610, I switched to Clock+ and have used it ever since. Works great, and I get the same alarm whether I'm at home or away!!

I like worldalarm clock, it is simple to use. My T615C with worldalarm clock seem not loud enough to me. I wish mine is as loud as that other dude's SJ33.

Yes. I use three alarm clocks, just to be sure. The first is my normal digital alarm clock, the next is my Clie (using Datebk5 and the standard alarm sound), and the third is my cell phone.

same here, only my cell phone is first, my NX60 has 3 alarms, and my digi clock radio is the loudest so it's the last failsafe:p

Yes. I just multiClock (http://palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&SID=92236212-7E95-2C26-24C644A5BCD4B9BD&PartnerREF=&prodID=1866) and usually wake up to things like Big Pimpin', 'Pumpkin And Honey Bunny'/Misirlou, the Itchy and Scratchy theme song, etc.

I use the built in worldalarmclock in my NX80 to wake up every morning.
I use crescendo setting and sometimes change the song with converted wav files.
If it is not enough I use both my NX80 and my T665C with the other play 15 minutes after the first

hey- do you guys know what the LED thing in world alarm clock is supposed to do? does it mean that your backlight will flash on and off if you leave your clie NX in tablet mode?

and multiclock only has 3 alarms? WAC has 5

The ones that come on the Clie installation CD. There are third party ones as well at Palmgear.

I use world clock

I have it automatically set my alarms for me everyday. I set 5 different alarms at different times and repeat intervals and I often need ALL five to get me up in the morning!!

Stoned roosters? eep.

My clie wakes me up first and it shuts up after a while because I am the thing from the crypt when I first wake up (when and/or if i wake up...)
Then goes my teac sterio, singing whatever CDs I have in it (currently Poodle Hat, Decksanddrumsandrockandroll, and The Beatles : 1)
After that, my creepy mecca azan alarm clock chants some weird arabic stuff VERY VERY loudly and that startles me awak for a minute until i turn it off.
Finally, my clock radio which is half broken and i hate it very very much rudely goes BEEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!!! BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And somehow, 90% of the time I end up falling back asleep.

WA Clock is good enough for me. Does it come with OS5 CLIEs?

I use it several times a month, especially if I have something out of the ordinary on a particular morning. I'll set WAClock to wake me and then several minutes later an Agendus alarm associated with my morning task.

I converted some alert sounds from Windows into my CLIE w/ sound converter and I use those for datebook reminders

All thou I got my new Sony Clie PEG-TJ37. I still like using my old Clie PEG-T615C Sony's World Alarm Clock with the real cool sound tones. Somehow my new Tj37 don't come with those real sound but cheap MIDI sounds or none.

I also setup to 4 alarms for every day. And usually the 3 or 4th times alarm wakes me up. Each set for a 10 or 15 minutes apart. I am some to lazy to get out of bed because I sleep late at 12 mid-night and have to get up at 6am.

I have MegaClock set for 3 fifteen minute intervals in the morning, I am a heavy sleeper. However, since we are on the topic, I like MegaClock, but it has way too many functions that I don't use. I used to use BigClock, but wanted 320x480 hires. Is there a simpler program that still looks great? Multiclock looks like it is only 320x320. Any suggestions?

I'm afraid to.

I have an annoying tendency to bash beeping things in the morning. My alarm clocks don't tend to have a very long lifespan...

Yep, every day I use the built-in Clie World Alarm Clock (the only clock that supports the ADPCM Sounds! )

I don't know why the PalmOS sound API dosen't support SMF (MIDI) alarm sounds. That's too bad

NJL, I have both the System ADPCM (Polyphonic) and System MIDI sounds loaded on my UX. Only the Built-in apps (Date book, Clie World Clock) support the ADPCM. All other alarm apps support the MIDI sounds (Agendus, Big Clock etc....) I've got a bunch of "Free" MIDI sounds, they are much better than the default stuff the Clie's come with.

World Alarm Clock works just fine- IF you remember to turn the volumes up and ensure the sounds aren't muted overall.

Set the necessary alarms.

TURN THE SOUND ON.

But that's just my own issue. Thanks for letting me vent. ;-)

Oops, I should have been more specific. I meant polyphonic MIDI sounds.

I have used it many times. Sounds just fine and either wakes me up or definitely lets me know I'm supposed to be doing something!

I had no idea my TH-55 could not play polyphonic MIDI tones until I tried installing some, and listened the crap it produced. I think it tried to play each channel separately, end-to-end, making for some really long and really sad sounding MIDI's. I used a monophonic MIDI collection called geeksounnds (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/geeksounds.shtml) on my previous PDAs, and shall have to continue to use it. Until Sony gives me polyphonic MIDI capability on my TH-55. The geeksounds compilation is nice for what it is, but I am still pissed that my $380 brand new clie does not have any better alarms than those in my M100. And in my opinion using PCM sucks, polyphonic MIDIs sound decent and are much more efficient for those happy with musical alarms.

I use world alarm as my wake up call every day, I use Aclock's Sundial as a visual clock day and night, then in the morning I get woken up with 'springpark', I haven't ever needed to install new midi's or wavs the built in music is enough fo what I need.
