Hello everyone.

I'm new to the PDA world. I'm thinking of buying either a TJ37 or TH55.

I'm a university student I think these things are handy. My question is to do with timing: in the past I have bought some electronics equipment and as soon as I bought it something new and better came out.

This being the end of the school year I don't really need it for regular use but only for the "head-turning" value.

My question is: does anyone know if Sony is planning to release some new PDA's during the summer?

I can live without a PDA during the summer but don't really want to if I'm going to end up buying the same device 4 months later.

The next new Clie that I know of will be coming out near the end of the year, these will be Sony's Palm OS 6 (Cobalt) devices. I'm sure they will have some new OS 5 (Garnet) devices out before that though. Personally I'd wait until the end of summer if you can, that way the new devices will be announced (or out) if they do plan on releasing new devices and if you will want the older model (TH55 or such) they will be dirt cheap.

buy something sort of old for cheap so at least you have something. get you familiar with carrying one around, how things work, and you can start stockpiling programs and learning tricks.
