For a while?
I think it is normal but want to double check.
If you use the camera for maybe 20-30 pics in a row, the bottom will feel very warm.

I took 44 pictures back to back, mixing it in with the use of the flash and no flash. No problems with it heating up.

I took 35 pix in a row, nearly all with flash, and I didn't notice heat coming from the unit. I can imagine the battery might get a bit warm with that much current being drawn though.

i shoudl not say it was burning hot...just i noticed it being very warm, sort of like how a laptop gets
I was jsut surprised because i dont remeber my nx70 ever getting warm like that, but then agian the nx70 never had a 2 mp camera with flash.
i might try it again and see what happens

davy19,
I read somewhere in the manual (don't remember where) that it is normal for the unit to heat up with use. Said "this is not a malfunction." Sorry I don't remember where I read it...

well i just took another 50 pics in about 2 minutes...i feel nothing out of the ordinary..
maybe it was after 100 pics i dont remeber now was doing this test last night around 1-2 am..lol
i aint going to worry..if something happens I will just get it fixed ...besides like you said in manual it makes sense for it to get warm after a heavy use
