Would appreciate comments on comparison between BackupBuddy and BackupMan pl. They seemingly appear to have similar features but while the former costs $29.95 the latter is available for just $10.

Backup Buddy can be used to both backup data to your PC and do selective backups to your MS. It's been around a long time and it's never let em down when I've had to hard reset. It's the one I'd buy regardless of the price difference.

BB has file encryption for security.  That is one reason I don't like MSBackup. Not sure if BM has. I purchased the cheaper version of BB, BBVFS, since I just want to backup the Clie.  I use it to do an automatic daily backup for only database that changes often (e.g., PIM) so the process is quick and takes a small footprint.
