Hey, sorry i havent registered or anything, i was just searching for places to get info on my clie and this place seemed to help alot of people with problems so i was wondering if someone could do the same for me. I took my clie on a trip with me to a science competition and was getting ready to take a picture of one of the events when it just cut off. I assumed the battery was dead because i had used it alot that day. So i brought the clie home and charged it, and now it just plain wont turn on at all. Ive checked the hold button, even tried to put it in the cradle and hotsync it to see if it will turn on....nothing. If anybody knows what i should do, please let me know! thanks

Yep....soft reset should do it! What I think happpened was you let the battery run low enough for the power manager to shut your system down to avoid data loss. My 665 does this when battery is around 10-15 %. For all the times I have my 665 at meetings, work and all lengthy events, It's very rare that I have a shutdown 'cause of low battery.

don't remember low battery having this effect, but try a soft reset can't hurt, reset it and hold the up button at the same time, it turns on without the drivers, kind of a safe mode. If that tdoesn't help a hard reset or a battery disconnection wich involves removing the back cover and unplugging the battery from the board may be in order. Don't worry, it's most probably never fatal. Good Luck!

Well, if it never works again I'd like to buy it from you.
