Is the NZ Out In Sinagpore Yet?

Not out yet. I placed a pre-order on 19 Feb and was told there was a delay till 27/28 Feb for delivery.

Best deal is in Tangs (if you have their card, you get 6% rebate).

I think the price would be the same across the board everywhere...it usually the case when the product is first launch. I was told that the delivery is on the 27th as well.

Hi people, I have gone down to South Asia in Funan IT Mall yesterday. They have put up the advert but the physical item is still not in the shop. The earliest is on 27 Feb.

Well, you need to bargain with the sale man at South Asia, perhaps you can try to ask them to get you a 128 mb MS. I've done that when I bought my PDA there previosuly. IF you can still wait for a another 3 weeks, go to the IT exhibition at Suntec from 13 - 16 Mar to try your luck.

The launch in Hong Kong has been delayed as well till "month-end" or 26 Feb to 3 March. Pushing Sonystyle, they claimed that the shipment will arrive on 26 Feb in HK.

Blueprints, to be frank, I've not been using Sony MS for many years after I've sold my first cybershot digicam since 1999.

As for the IT Exhibition, I'll normally go around the booths to talk to the sale person and ask for cheapest quote. And sometime I'll tell them "since your price and the other booths are similar, why should I buy from you ... of course if you can give me a better price, I can consider" .. and that's how I got my desktop PC for almost $300 cheaper than the listed price during the last PC show in Suntec.

blueprints, seems like you are quite firm in getting the nz (from some of your posts in other threads). Well, you are right about my current thought - I'm waiting to see one in Funan on 27 Feb (hopefully) and probably try my luck in the IT exhibition on 13 Mar.

Yup, pretty sure im gonna get e NZ, but equally sceptical abt SONY launching another NZ or something in a mth or 2 like e case of the NX shortly followed by the current NZ. Cos in S'pore we cant smiply trade in our NZ for another PDA. I guess no one wants a 2nd had PDA in SG. Do u share e same view.?

Hmmm ... share only 50% of your view. I've been selling my digicam, PDA etc. online (hardwarezone, Interauct) before. And they were quite successful, but at a steep lost.

I do agree that we are not as lucky as our US counterparts where they have the provision of upgrading the existing unit for the latest unit by mean of either the extended warranty or equivalent source. This is something that will probably don't work in our homeland.

I guess it should be in town by tml(27th), i was down @ SONY Gallery Wisma and that was what they told me. I'm juz worried that there'll be no stock cos the priority would be for the Pre-order list. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'd be going down this SAt to check. Most probably be getting one =]

No problem. If you got to purchase one, you will definitely be earlier than me, cos I'll be waiting for the IT Mall. So far, I can still resist the temptation despite reading all the 'good' pointers of the nz90.

I was down @ Bugis n Wisma SONY Gallery, I did go down to Sim Lim too but i didnt went NZ hunting coz i was looking for my bluetooth adaptor. I got another brand instead of the Mitsumi one. Its called PenBLue cost $69 e mitsumi one cost $88. Back to e NZ. It isn't as heavy or "BIG" as i thought it woukld be. Well, i feel its juz nice wit e keyboard around. Price is $1399 but i not sure if its cheapers elsewhere. e pre-orders guys had a free 16MB MemoryStick n a screen protector for e pre-order gifts. These r e info i got for today.

Went down to SLS and Funan today to check out the NZ. All shops are currently selling at S$1399. Well, I'll still hold my horses till the IT show in Suntec from 13 to 16 Mar.

Picked mine up yesterday in Funan at $1399.

It's not as big as I was expecting, and I came from a Palm V, but it is heavy. Still, I'm already getting used to that and I really, really like it. The stylus seems fine.

I got the Wireless card and set up for my home WiFi Lan was painless. Amazing to be surfing the web with my PDA.

It definitely has a WoW factor. The stewardesses on the Thai Airways flight this evening were all gathering round to watch the Matrix and XXX trailers. Hey, anything that impresses stewardesses has got to be good, right.

Just as well they left before Kinoma threw a fatal error.

Played with the thing at Funan today too. The device feels solid and better to hold than the NX/NRs. Screen is a beauty, the 2 MP camera is just splendid! Took some pics when I put in my own MS to test it out. Its a pity the video resolution is as small as it is. Also the 11 usable mb is a pain...

But really cool on the whole! :)
