Hello all,

Im curious. Am i the only one trying to squeeze as much stuff into the walls of the NX70V as possible or are there other similar minded people doing the same?

What software/apps are people putting in their NX70V?

The more i look around the net, the more apps i install into it. Pity the NX only has 11mb of usable ram and even my poor 64mb stick is starting to show some strain....

God knows i wont use all these apps, but at least ive got more stuff to play around with in all the times i have a spare moment...

I use PowerRun to run my application from MS.
A great utility program.

But mostly because I'm broke from buying the NX and the WIFI card!

Besides the standard apps, I'm running
Netfront
ClieMail
Docs to Go
Ultrasoft money
GnuKeyring
Zlauncher
PowerRun
Filez
JavaHQ
PalmMSN
World Alarm Clock
VeriChat (until the trial runs out!)
TealDoc
Spades
Space Trader
Rally 5000
Monopoly
Billiards
Patience

I think that's all....

Allows you to move apps (and associated databases) to the MS. This frees up internal RAM. It will create a shortcut icon that you can put where you want it. If you are already using a launcher (like Zlauncher), you might not need it for many programs. But there are some that won't work with Zlauncher moving them and will with PowerRun (i.e. Netfront). Another advantage of PowerRun is that it puts each app into its own file on the MS (less messy than throwing them all into the launcher folder). Also, if you try to run an app that is on a different MS than the one you have in the Clie, it will tell you which one to look for it on....

I find the same issues, but at the end of the day most of the programs are just novel and I never really use them. Its almost like I just like to have alot of stuff on my clie so I can look at it. But as far as apps I find most apps run fine on the memory stick ( expecally games) and any app that needs to sync with the desktop needs to stay in the main memory. Here are some of the apps I use.

Agendus, Ioffice ( fastwriter, tinysheets and iamdic mail ) best office suite I have found. Fast writer isn't the best word processer compared to wordsmith but it does the job and it keeps you office intigrated. they are avalible @ http://www.iambic.com

Pocket Quicken which is the only money app that I have found that actualy SYNCS with quicken. http://landware.com/pocketquicken/index.asp

ExpensePlus is an awsome app for tracking expences for business. http://walletware.com

DayNotez & Project@hand are awsome apps. with DayNotez you can create templates for various topics, eg. meeting minute, journal entries...., and withe the touch of a button you have a full page template ready to fill in. Works great you got to try it. Project@hand works perfect for syncing Microsoft Project files. There currently working on version 2 to be able to sync with Microsoft Project, can hardly wait. there both avalible @ http://www.natara.com

Ritemail is and awsome app to jot a quick freehand note and email it to someone or yourself as a quick reminder. You must try this app it works flawless. http://www.ritemail.net

Splash photo and Splash ID are great apps mostly becase they are simple and have a desktop interface. Acid image is probably a better image app but I like commonality and intigration. Check it out http://www.splashdata.com

Mapopolis is the best map program I have found. Its at http://www.mapopolis.com version 5.15

Biblereader+ from Olivetree seems to be the best bible reader I have found. http://www.olivetree.com

I use devotions for daily readings. Its cheap and it has many free libraries to choose from. I like Our Daily Bread and its avalible monthly. http://www.devotions.ca

Wassup is a great "Today" app for a quick overview of the days activities. http://www.pocketscience.com.au
be sure to use the beta thats the only one that works correctly.

I use the avantgo beta and it seems to work fine. I cant wait for the final release with high res. This is a space hog though. about a meg. http://www.avantgo.com/support/beta_news.html

Zlauncher is the best launcher there is period. It is comletely costomizable to suit you taste. A must have. http://www.zztech.com

tealmaster is great for hacks. http://www.tealpoint.com

Photoskin is great to change you graffiti and status bars. http://raysolutions.com/english/index.php
You can get great skins right here at the wonderful cliesource, just click on skins from the main page. Or lick to http://www.clieskins.com

Appicon is great for changing the look of some of you ugly icons. http://muchy.com/review/appicon.html

and of course Powerrun to run those apps that dont sync with the desktop. http://simple-palm.com

These are the apps I use all the time I will post a list of eye candy apps later. I cant wait for jackflash to come out so I can justify more apps inplace of some of the lame standard apps.

I personally keep 3 megs empty in the main memory to leave room for files to transfer from the memory stick. Programs that are in the stick are stored there transfered to the main memory during use and then removed after you close the program. Keep that in mind. Come on jack flash http://www.brayder.com/products/

Thats all folks.

I have over 100+ apps, this question gets asked every other day. If you'd like, look back through threads to the various comments. Everyone has there own needs, likes, and dislikes, etc.

You can use X-Launcher to create stubs so that you can still have apps that need to sync to the desktop on the memory stick. There are a couple that this doesn't work with. You can look at launchplug.com for more info on this.

yes, im aware that there are previous threads on the topic. i guess in this thread i would like to hear from people who have installed programs that were absolutely useless but they have done it for the sake of it.

too many people download programs that they might find useful and then trash it. id like to hear from them in addition to the "got nothing better to do so ill download some apps/games for my nx
"

ill start it off. i download and installed an app that placed a very large dot in the centre of the screen and on occasion changed colour. useless really, unless you like dots......
