I am contemplating upgrading to the TH55. I know how (I think:)) how to get contacts, appointments, to do's and memo's over. However, I am unsure how to get "licensed" software over, since in the past, I had to re-load all code. Most of the time the "codes" I use in an upgrade (3rd party apps) . Then starts the painful process of trying to contact the companies.

Has anyone found a better way to migrate?

Many thanks in advance!

Mike

Some application require to code too no matter how.

But you can tried to backup to MS then restore back to the new set. It work for me.

Reinstalling anew has always been the best way I have found to migrate from one device to another with a minimum of problems. 95% of the time my registration code works (it's keyed to my user name). In a few instances, it was keyed to user name + device ID. In those few cases, I've been able to contact the software manufacturer & I've always been successful. It's really a minor nuisance, nothing more.
