Sync problems

It is very strange. Syncing my TH55 with my Al PB 15" seems to work great. I can do it via Bluetooth and USB cable. I have installed both Palm Desktop and Missing Sync.

My problem is that after every few syncs, everything is synced back over to my TH55 as if it was new. What I mean is that all the apps whether they are still installed or have since been removed are re-installed and I find I have to start reentering all my serials again and all my contacts and date book entries using iSync are re-sent to the TH55.

Does anyone have any idea why it seems to keep on thinking that it is a new TH55?

Not that this will help you, but I have exactly the same problem with my new TH55. Even after setting up a new user name and starting completely from scratch, after a sync or two Hotsync decided to re-install everything as new again, overwriting all my apps and data.

Must be a bug with the TH55. Nothing like that ever happens with my UX50.

It appears the problem is due to AvantGo. See this for details:

I need to test it some more, but it appears that the patch available from Markspace does fix the problem.

Of course, if you aren't using AvantGo, then there is something else causing it.

Thanks for that! Funny thing is I remembered having installed this patch on my T3 but since getting the TH55 I completely forgot about that problem.

bobinnv thanks for posting the link... I have been going crazy to figure out why this was happening. I hadn't found the fix through Mark/Space on my own.
