The builtin sony one sucks big time. Anything out there that I can use on this nx90 to control a cable box and tv?

omniremote does work with nx/nz now..but it cant use the higher range, can only got about 1-2 feet.
supposedly developer is working on
trying to reverse engineer the ir, but having real hard time and said sony is not willing to help at all.

i have it on the nz90...but truthfully dont use it much since I have to be 1-2 feet in fornt of it, at that point may as well just hit the + or - on the Cable box..LOL

I tried the remote function, didn't do diddly for me, maybe it's because I have JVC tv and satellite box

That mean the RMC on the nz90 is not very attractive ... sigh !

I have a JVC tv and it works just fine. The farthest I have been able to get it is about 12 feet. I thought at first that it was only a few feet, but then I realized that because the ir port is sort of on the side that I need to tilt it so that the ir port is directly facing the tv, then it worked much better.

I thought the same thing about the IR port, but I think in the READ THIS FIRST book, it shows that Sony added an IR light to point towards the front and through the side, so it works well sideways or straight. I use mine straight on to the TV and have no probs.
