Anyone have any suggestions for a replacement for Piidirect? After migrating from a T665c to a TH55 this was the program I miss most. Tried powerun and results were less than satisfactory.... crashes and slow.

I use to use power run but changed to ZLauncher. I missed PiDirect at first too but with an OS5 machine the card reading is so fast you won't notice it after a while. You can also put writable db files on the card with either program which is something PiDirect couldn't do.

Yeah - I use MSMount which is a similar program, but the author doesn't seem inclined to make an OS5 version and I suspect the people who wrote PiDirect won't either :(

I suspect it may not be possible in OS5 - maybe there are some low-level hacks you need to use which aren't possible to do in an emulated environment like OS5...

The extra 16MB of RAM in the TH55 will soften the loss a little, but there are still only a handful programs that use VFS for their huge data files... :/

Luckily, with the ones I use, they are slowly migrating to VFS usage (Like Wordz recently did :D)

I use ZLauncher in place of PiDirect. :)

I just use normal launcher transfering to card mode. But still working out which software is more suitable to use with powerrun since I'm using it on NX80 and NZ90.
