is there a way to adjust the back light for the NZ90? so far, its either on (which is WAY too bright for me) or off, which you can't see crap. I was in the car and my dad was complaining the light was too bright cuz it lit up the ENTIRE CAR!! plz if some one know how to dim it down a bit, it would be greatly appreciated =) (i tried looking for it in the options, but it wasn't there)

also, if anyone know how to prevent the battery from dropping 5% at a time in camera mode w/out even snapping a SINGLE pictture, that'd be nice too hehe. thanks guys!

I would assume you know that, in the virtual graffiti area, if you tap the little symbol that looks like a small sun, immediately below the second large circle on the left, this will bring up a bar used to adjust the brightness of your screen.

Just drag it all the way to the left and you'll increase your battery life tenfold.

the camera drains your battery because the process of showing you what the viewfinder sees is a heavy one. there is a lot of action going on in the lcd. you don't even need to snap a pic. it's like, an image of just a simple design, maybe 2 colors, is many times smaller than a detailed image of the same dimension

no, the thing is, the power doesn't "really" drain. when i exit the camera mode, it goes back up again. Thats what i meant.

funny about that "sun" icon... I didn't know it existed for the longest time either. My NZ was set at 1/2 brightness from the factory... so I assumed that was the only setting. somone pointed it out to me on this Clie forum about a month after I got my NZ.

As far as the battery, yes It's a bit of a trick... loading the camera app requires like 35% of the battery usage, however once your in the camera app... you can keep snapping away photos. Once you leave the camera app your battery jumps back up in about 1/2 a minute, at which time you can go back to the camera app if you want to snap more photos.
I've found that you need at least 50% battery to use the camera app.. otherwise it won't start up.

in that case, it is because of sony's smartlithium feature. while it is figuring out how much power you have left and time you have left in it's "current state" meaning it is assuming the power you use while taking pics is going to be constant, and that you will only get say, 20 minutes of use. once you exit the camera program, not as much power is used so it recalculates, and that is why the percentage goes back up.

just drag the brightness to the left but not to much or you'll see nothing

Thanks
