I recently got an SJ-30 and now I am wondering if it is possible to connect a GPS unit, such as the Garmin eTrex, and use mapping software on my pda to display a "live" map of my location?
If that works I would not need to buy any of the more expensive GPS units that show a map, I could simply use my pda if I want that functionality.
I would very much appreciate any help or comments on this matter.
Thanks,
ZeroG

See the info in my post on the NX forum http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4932 .
Not trying to cross-post, but it answers your question and I'd have to type it all over again!;)
It works with any unit with the T-series connector.

Thanks for the info! I am looking to buy the Garmin eTrex Venture (going to use it for Geocaching) and it looks like I should be able to connect it to my SJ30 and display my location through Mapopolis (for car trips).

I use an SJ-30 with Garmin Etrex Venture both with Mapopolis for streetmaps and also for waypoint management for geocaching.

If you need further info, I will dig up the place I purchased my cable from. I built an ugly one that worked and then ended up buying one as well.
