Is there one out there? Right now i'm using Bible Reader and it wont use the full screen even though i heard someone say that it will. I would also appreciate if the software had an NIV Bible out for it, i can't even find one of those right now. Thanks!

Enjoy.

You should be able to get an NIV Bible for this program. Works great... has full screen support.. ability to create your own topics that point right to the verses you are using... and you can highlight, underline, whatever you want on the screen. Great app!

I just purchased this program because of the NIV bible available for it. Nice devotional readers too. From Laridian's advertisement, they are the only ones licensed to sell the NIV apparently. I couldn't find it by anyone else, though. Go to http://www.laridian.com or http://www.devotions.ca.

I too use MyBible, and I LOVE it, but it's not full-screen. I'm using the version 030106

Is a full-screen version available?

I currently use olive-tree-bible which is not full-screen. before I used a converted web-bible which I converted to iSilo. This offline-browser has different fonts and uses full-screen. But it has not a bible verse search or so (just standard search).

I will try out the links which were provided above and hope they have a german translation.

Bible Reader was just bought out by asiasoft. They offer an NIV for 18 US dollars. Most other vertions are free with them as well as the program itself. I own the NIV and NLT and the core program from Laridian. I do not use them. My Bible has DUAL VERTION display so I can read two versions at the same time. Most recently I found Mathew Henrys Concordance in Bible Reader format so I can have KJV at the top and have the commentary follow me as I read. http://www.asaisoft.com/ It does not support Hi-Res + yet but they said in an email they are working on it currently.

In my correspondance with Laridian they said that Hi-Res is one thing they are considering for updated releases. I would recommend that WE ALL politely email them about our desire to have a version of My Bible which utilizes the full 320x480 screen.

email to: support@laridian.com

Cheers, Rich

I'll pitch in my 2 cents and say that I use EzReader with the good ol' King James Version. Both are free from http://www.lds.org/handheldlibrary/0,6461,342-1,00.html

Did I mention that it's free and the scriptures come complete with footnotes (if you choose to install them).

I just tried this on my Sony NX70, and I keep getting a fatal reset error and have to reboot. Any ideas?

I have both the application and the bible on my memory card.

Thanks

I think that OliveTree BibleReader is the best however they are working on their os 5 version. It supports NASB and KJV with Strongs Numbers which is excellent, but they do not yet support hires, full screen, and many features are not yet implemented, but that's what patience is for! Go with Jesus!

and the most recent reply from Laridian (myBible):

Rich,

Thank you for your message and your interest in our Bible software.

Support for the larger screen areas of the Sony handhelds is currently on the suggestion list for consideration.

For complete information about our policies concerning new features, I'd like to refer you to the Frequently Asked Questions section of our website. To access the FAQs, go to www.laridian.com. Select Palm OS and then Support. You'll want to look at the information listed under the title "Non-Product-Related Questions".

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Until, I got my NX, I used Olive Tree's software with Strong’s. While it's not full screen, Bible Thumper (http://www.patdouble.com/biblethumper/index.htm) is the best I have used. It's fast and has a wonderful set of Greek/Hebrew tools and commentaries.

I own the ESV with OliveTree's BibleReader, and was sold out on them until I ran across AsaiSoft's Bible Reader. Yes, it's not Hi-Res+ yet, but the text fonts/graphics, split-screen are great. But the best thing about this app is the ability to drag the text. In my Thursday morning prayer breakfast I attend, we go around the table taking turns reading a verse at a time. Being able to drag the text is absolutely great in that environment.

Soli Deo Gloria!

I just bought the Zondervan NIV from Palm Digital Media and use the free Palm Reader. You can't read two translations at once but it does support full screen. The reader itself is free and there are some free versions of the KJV that are available.

There are some errors (mainly spacing errors) with the Zondervan text.

Hope I'm not off-topic here, but I'm wondering if it's possible at all to get a .txt file of a whole translation. Then you could just use Mobipocket or whatever and utilize the full screen as well. NRSV is my translation of choice. I would feel ok about copying it, as I own like 4 different versions of the NRSV (CD ROM, Interlinear, leatherbound etc) but not on my trusty NX70v. Based on some other lengthy txt files, I would guess the file would be under 3mb. Thanks for your help.

Palm Digital Media Palm Reader Pro has full screen support and you can download the NIV for $11.00. I have had it now for about a month. Palm Reader Pro (http://www.palmdigitalmedia.com/S=cab7dd0ca8b7360f966295113b185d54Pic8psCoAAsAAEHhLEo1545148/product/reader/browse/pro)

Good program, had no issues with the NX series that I have found.
