Why use IC and Kinoma for DIVX?

I dont understand why you guys just dont use a 3rd party DIVX player instead of having to re-encode with IC. Is there any benefits to sticking with Kinoma? Thanks.

I just want to say first that Kinoma IS third-party. IC is for Movie Player.

I don't know about anyone else, but I use IC because .mqv movies from IC play better and smoother than any other video format in my TH55. The framerate is best and it even searches smoothly when I drag the video through the progress bar. From what I understand, IC videos are optimized for the specialized processors in the TH55. I wouldn't dare use any other player (unless it took advantage of the same thing... but they don't).

As soon as mmplayer fully kicks in I am sure I will use that with normal divx or xvid and mp3 ;)
