Now here is a good one for all the threads LOL. I was playing around with my Legacy and PC and GUESS what!!!!!!!! I accidently DELETED my whole storage disk. Legacy and everything on it GONE :( can't even retrieve anything. Guess I get to start all over again. Had just found the 1 key I was looking (after running back and forth-about 6 times found the dang wall I missed) to get further into fire empire. Dang, had me a good battle group too. Had to re-install everything. Least by now I can figure out where I'm going. Was level 16's. Had some good stuff from WildCelts, seems I wasn't getting hurt by anyone for the most part. Kinda like that. Gave me a chance to explore and not have to resurrect anyone. But atlas, I start from scratch (again). Well here we go, off with a new batch of fighters.

Hopefully it will be slow at work tonight and I can get back to where I was. Ya know saying no to help some of these people are hard. I want to help but I want to be the bad King this time LOL. Thank God I didn't start chapter 1 yet.

Off and running---hmm maybe this is how I lost my 40+ pounds running between fire/frozen all the time. Later ya'll.

OK - so THIS is the right place for this post...

I'm having trouble getting past the first part of the Ancient Tower. the sign says "open seven grey, close seven gold, one yellow disappears". I have only found 13 gates. I've gone down the holes up the stairs and bounced back and forth with the transporters but I'm obviously missing some other section with another door.

I searched the previous posts and they didn't help me with this issue - I get the idea of the puzzle and I have repeatedly checked and re-checked the doors (i.e. which are open which are closed) but the problem is that I have only found 13 doors and clearly I need to worry about 14. From the map, it looks like there may be an additional area to the south (assuming the map is symmetrical, which of course, it doesn't have to be).

Help!

There are 11 doors on one floor and 3 on another floor (or should I say elevation since you can't go from one to the other like walking down a hall). Don't forget the rooms where there is nothing in them but a body hanging on the wall.

I've searched the earlier posts but can't make any sense of what's there 'cause I'm either just a bit beyond or not as far as the folks who have posted so far...

I am in the Dark Hall and have yet to fill in the cheeks, nose or third eye. Have found the switches for the first two force fields in the lower part of the skull (red and green, I believe - the swithes were accessed from the ruins decrantes) but haven't yet disabled the third/grey ones that seem to lead to the cheeks area. I haven't gotten any columns to move either - just force fields. I've also visited the hall from the teleporter in the center of the ruins and the teleporter from the Dead Forest but to no avail!

Hints would be great - I have no idea of where to find the switches.

Got frustrated at the point a few weeks ago so took a break and finished Elvira, Waerloga (my favorite) and started Legend - so it hasn't been all wasted time...

Danielle, you're going to find you are too advanced for Legend -- it'll be too easy an' will lose much of its luster. Go to REVENGE while you wait, save Legend for a different party (and hit it around level 15-16).

As for your current troubles... this is a toughie, 'cause there are SO many places to go/things to do in this that guiding you is nigh impossible. Basically, this is a mini version of Fire/Ice empire -- run back and forth back and forth. Have you FULLY explored the God's Hall and Satan's Hall? It's pretty clear from the map when STUFF remains to be touched/visited in those places.

Nalokin, you're looking for the statue that's found in Hell. Have you found all three parts of the Madness Maze Map? Have you found the entrance to the Madness Maze?

As usual, the mere act of appealing for help on this forum activated a few latent brain cells and I figured out how to get to God's and Satan's Halls. Haven't finished them yet (i.e. The Test of Memory) bit I'm in there at least.

You're right about Legend - the novelty of whipping the bad guys with one or two strokes has worn off. I'll wait on Legend until next time around.

Hi,

I've searched this place, but can't find any hints for the spots in which I'm stuck:

Maze of Souls: I can't find the third part of the map.

Ancient Tower: I am pretty sure my seven goldens are closed and seven grays are open, yet the Wall of Force won't let me through. I've double checked the grays and goldens. What am I missing?

I would really appreciate any help.

Ancient Tower -- ALL I can offer is this: if you KNOW (because you counted) that all are open/closed, did you actually try to walk through the WoF? If so an' didn' get through, you're missing a gate.

Maze of Souls -- *phoo* I've not been through in awhile and can't recall where I got them all.. lessee.. you buy 2nd part.. mmm anyone else? Man, I hafta take a party to the Expansion Pack, now, drat it..

I feel I will lose my mind soon enough with this game.

I am in the Dungeon of the Dead and have broken through the area where you have to continuously break out pices of wall to enter a wide open area.

Problem is, I keep getting pushed back. I have 3 pieces of map. They look like leaves of lettuce in the viewer. I thought with these 3 pieces I would be able to get through.

What am I missing?

Hi slthree!

I know you contacted me about this before, but I didn't know where you were. You don't need the three map parts here. (You will need them later though, and I thought you were talking about that area.)

Where you are now, there are a bunch of invisible teleporters that (as you've already found) keep taking you back to the entrance to the area. The quickest method to find your way through is to save the game, take a step and save if you're not teleported back, then repeat until you're teleported back. Then reload your savegame, take a step onto a new square and repeat the process.

If you want another weapon, you have the option of getting an adamantine mace here, but it's not required.

Actually, Silvergirl, he's not teleported that far back, so the saving/reload bit is excessive.

It's a fairly basic process, slthree, to step and hope. Make a map of where you go, put an X in places where you get 'ported back. Fairly quickly, you'll find the appropriate path.

The map pieces are for an area called the Maze of Souls.

Maze of Souls is found back in the Dungeons of the Dead. It's pretty hard to find the access to it, so if you can't get started, PM me and I'll give some more explicit directions.

Don't know the answer to your dilemma. Hope the Chief does! I'd be searching for an old save file or checking the shops to see -- if I sold it -- if I can buy it back!!!!!

I have the sword from the lady but I am unable to do any damage to the ancient dragons. I have completed all of the quests, I got the red key, the red axe and used the redshift book. The only thing that works on the dragon is clear way, then I escape and go out. I even waited seven days and went back througn all of the maps to see if I left out some thing. What is going on?? I'm in the fire empire, in a room with a sign saying to feed the empty shelves and empty the full shelves. I took the fire he'll, hammer and necklace and put them on their corresponding empty shelves. The door doesn't open. What am I missing?

Are you sure you're fighting them with the Dragonblade?
Every time I see the Lady she tells me that she has already given me the blade. These are the blades that I have : Ancient Dragon Blade, old Blade, Dragon’s Bane, Fire Dragon Blade, Mucous Dragon Blade, Ice Dragon Blade, Hell Dragon Blade. I believe that the Ancient Dragon Blade I have is from a earlier quest in Legacy, not the expansion pack. Do I have to get rid of it (or all of my early quest dragon blades) before I can recieve another blade from the lady? Is this a glich in the game? I have some more blades but they don't say dragon. Does this blade have a different name or do I have to "get it" from somewhere else? Or did I get rid of it somehow? I am using a Palm T3. ver 1.05x of Legacy.

LittlePuppy: You don't have to get rid of any old blades. I BELIEVE that what you need for this final bit is the Hell Dragon Blade, actually. Is that equipped?

sbliim: You can get into that section from underground... look around!

Of course, gyffes is correct -- I was mixing up the end of the main game with the end of the mission pack. The Hell Dragon Blade should do the trick.

Only to keep trying, you have the three Items. You need to get them on the correct shelf. Perseverance and success rule the day.

I told him to write stewe. He claimed stewe wasn't replying. I figured that meant he had a cracked version. He replied he didn't and posted his regcode for the world to see, to prove it.

So I killed the four first dragons,the guy disabled the forcefield that gived me access to the ancient lair area.and now I'm stuck at the very beginning with two forcefields to deactivate and two switches, will do the golden ancient lair before hoping a hint will come

While there are many free expansion packs, they are mostly for high level parties. The assumption is that people will buy and play the official expansions first. The expansions that aren't free are almost all worth the small amount of money.

Sasuke, it takes so many hundreds of hours to make a game that the incredibly cheap price the expansion sells for means Redshift earns about a nickel, maybe a dime, per hour in terms of their work.

But if you want tremendous fun, and a game that is very hard to put down, it's a wise investment of a few dollars on your side. As someone once said, it's cheaper than going to the movies today and it's always with you if you want to play it again. : )

1. the expansion have a order, or i can play them as i want?

Wow! Caker still has his site up with all the Legacy expansions. He did an enormous work. It's too bad he has been too busy to post here.

I am gonna go and download the free ones again so I have them all on my hard drive. : )

I would suggest you try installing a few and see what happens. : )
For now, i've installed:
- Legacy
- Official Expansion
- Elvira
- Keldark
- Proving Grounds
- Klad
- Morah's Plan
- Kings Aid

And there's no problem. I've read that the only expansion would need a erase of the other expansion is Legend 2, because is really big. Here, there may be savegame problem (erase, or freezing).
For now, all works good! :)

I've explored all the dungeon, but in the room where you have to place the Red Ring and the Green other thing, appears a message that say "you hear a forcewall disappearing".
No w, what I have to do? :confused:

I have another question: in the "Redshift altar", what I have to place?

You will find an item that seems like it belongs on an altar. I'm not about to just BLURT the answer out in the open -- think!

As to the forcewall -- if/when you put the correct item(s) on the correct shelf(ves), you'll hear a forcefield disappear AND a door open FOR EACH CORRECT ITEM. There are 2 forcefields to drop and 2 doors to open.

I changed phones and thought I would give Legacy another round.

I am in the expansion and don't seem to have a key I need to get into the 'Dongeon of the Dead'. That's right, I am stuck at the front door.

I have all three pieces of the map, have 3 statues and can't get through that door.

Does anyone remember where I get that key?

Better yet, does anyone read these forums anymore now that Quest has been around for a long time?

Pertinax, you need to bring the chikita in town some flowers; once you have, she gives you the key.

I am playing on an HTC Diamond. It dies when I try to enter certain Inns but I have the game on my PC so when I really want to go into one that gives me problems I just transfer my game and do what I like. Otherwise it works fine on my diamond.

If so, this is a known bug and you need an s60-specific patch. Contact redshift for help.

Silly man. There's a REASON I told you to contact Redshift: they and only they can give you the patch.

If the reason you do not want to contact Redshift is that you're using a stolen/cracked version of Legacy, then die slowly in a flaming car wreck.

Dungeon of the DeaD. As far as I know, the Drug Enforcement Agency has no dungeons..

The key is very hard to get because the access to it is annoying. You need to walk back and forth and back and forth in the hallway with the various teleporters (the hallway turns this way and that) until suddenly you are teleported to a place where the key sits. Or, as the website you quoted says, "Keepers of the Key teleporters: keep playing around with these. They appear to be a linear path but are not quite. Step back into ones you have just left - eventually you'll get teleported to the key."

At least, I _THINK_ that's where the key is. It's been a million years since I went through the Expansion pack the whole way...
