I just bought a NZ90 and have it working with my powerbook with 10.2.4 using missing sync.

In reading the html manual, there is this program called ClieFiles that lets you move stuff back and forth.

Given that I have the internal memory almost full, I would like to put applications on the MS. So....

1. Can I launch the app from the MS somehow or is there other software required?

2. What are all the file folders on the memory stick for (launcher, Palm etc...). Is it important to put stuff in a particular folder?

This is kind of confusing. You would think Sony would give better docs than this.

you, my friend, need two things

first you need missing sync http://www.markspace.com get the beta 3.05 (the nz90 won't work with previous editions)

then you need to get a replacement launcher (yishow, megalauncher, zlauncher, launcherx)

i wouldn't dare tell you which one is best (would start a whole discussion that wouldn't help matters here) just search the threads for the debate about which is best if you want. these replacement launchers make it very easy to put almost everything on the ms and run it from there saving precious ram for more important things like games.:p

more questions:

if you move stuff over to the MS using one of these launchers (I downloaded ZLauncher to evaluate), is it backed up when you hot sync or is the stuff on the MS sort of out there on its own?

it is synced the same as if it were in the main memory (as long as the stick is in the clie). this caused a problem for me when i ended up doing a hard reset and simply synced the clie to the mac. the autobackup had nearly 100mb of programs and for some reason it couldn't all fit in the 11mb sony left me.:p

I just bought a PEG-T665C and I LOVE it. I also bought the missing sync (I guess that's the price of owning a MAC), and my Clie syncs okay, but I cannot get the iPhoto feature to work to save images in the PGP or DCF file format. Is there anything else out there I can use to do this? It doesn't even appear that Photoshop can save in those file formats.

I get the MP3s to work okay, but no images.

HELP!

Thanks!

missing sync is supposed to be out with an upgraded version in the next short bit.

If you want get your photos into iPhoto you will need a memory stick USB reader. i bought mine at CompUSA for $17. iPhoto reads it just fine and it works.
