Hi everyone. I have been wondering lately, is there a way to change the sound scheme for the NX much like you would change the sound schemes in Windows? I haven't read a lot about that here but I did notice on the Install CD there is a folder of Sound Sample Data. What is this used for? I think it would be great for my Clie with its new Bellagio black case to have cool noises too..
Thanks in Advance.

Not possible yet.
I wish the techsounds guy would come up with something OS5 compatable. I'd even use TealMaster if I had to!

I was reading about a hack called PowerOnSound.
I guess he said he uses it on his NX and has the TrekSounds working.

Voyager, there are some interesting sounds in the folder you mention. Unfortunately the sound format they're in is only supported by a couple of applications - sound util, and world clock - that come with your Clie. I haven't found any other apps capable of playing them

ok, thanks people.. I figured it was worth a shot since it is capable of making sound. I would love to make it look and sound like a Star Trek tricorder, that would just be so cool. I did install the star trek VS and status bar. They look good on it. There is a new VG posted in the skins section called darkcream, it looks pretty nice too. I'll probably switch it one of these days when I get bored. Thanks for the info!!

Dripps, it is a Virtual Skin for the Grafitti area of the NX. If you go to ClieFiles/Skins, then look under silk skins/virtual grafitti, you will find it on page 4. There is another star trek one on page 3, but the one I use is the one on page 4. Then if you back up to the SilkSkins page again, you will see the status bars section. There is a matching status bar for this VG there. They are a little tricky to install but not bad once you do it a couple times. I have instructions how to change the VS if you need me to post them.
