Yikes! Had to Hard Reset my TH-55

Suddenly the unit froze on me, a soft reset didn't work. Thankfully I have everything backed up and restored in next to no time. The last things I was doing were typing a long doc with the Palm Keyboard and listening to MP3s.

I did notice something strange. however which might have been a foretelling. In Clie Organiser, when I clicked on the Applications tab, the word 'Applications' disappeared and was replaced by the word 'Ap'. When I clicked on the other tabs the whole word was visible, but not on the Applications tab.

Anyone else had this happen to them, the Hard Reset or the 'Ap' word on the Applications tab?

I sent one TH55 back because it was almost impossible to activate the reset button. Only got it working once, with tremendous effort. Had to let the battary drain out in order to reset it, 4 or 5 times.

The replacement TH55 can be reset consistantly, but it takes more effort than you would expect.

I agree --- The reset button is at a strange angle, it is a bit difficult to press.

Return the unit for a replacement.
