I am a member of the Cassini imaging team. Cassini is a NASA spacecraft that will enter orbit around the planet Saturn on July 1. One app I would really like to see be made for the Palm OS is a program similar to Jovian by Hans Anger of www.astro-metrics.com except for the Saturnian system. Specifically, I would like to see an application developed that would show the positions of the 8 major Saturnian satellites (Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Titan, Hyperion, and Iapetus), the orientation of the Saturnian ring system, as well as a City Time-type view for Titan. Such an app would be great for amateur astronomers interested in following and observing the Saturnian system during the Cassini mission and would assist those of us on the Cassini imaging team (and other instrument teams) with Clies to be able to make rough decisions on target opportunities during meetings and the like.
