I have a 64Meg memory stick that I am unable to access. Tried it in 3 different clie's and the slot on my Sony PC. All I get is an error message. Can't change the file names or rename the card. I tried to reformat the card but it won't let me do that either.
Any hope for this stick? Should I just toss it? Anyone have this happen to them on any of their sticks? I didn't realize these things are so fragile.

I think you unfortunately just got hit with bad luck. I've never had a memory stick go bad on me before. You could also try taking it to a electronics store and sticking it in a digicam. Try formatting it from there.

Worth a shot at least-

I had something similar happen with my backup stick (lexar 128M x2). It was unrecognized and would not even format on my NX-60 or my wife's SJ-22. I tried soft & hard resets with no success. The stick would read fine on a PC using a card reader. I'm not sure why but after I inserted another 'normal' stick, the backup one worked fine and hasn't had a problem since. My main stick is a 256M MS pro & it didn't have any problems but it didn't help resurrect the backup stick either. I hope that helps some - I'm still not sure what the original problem was in my case.

your stick's dead  very sorry for you !!! j/k .. I think you've had bad luck though ... might have to toss it and get yourself another one or if by some stroke of luck, get it exchanged from where you bought it ... next time you buy one, test it at the store itself ... that ways you probably wont have a problem later on ...

It happens from time to time. But you have to take care using them.
