when I'm using the memory stick reader/writer to move music files, which folder on the MS should I move them to, MSSONY or PALM?

any suggestions?

if you search on MP3's in the Nx forum (if i remember right), somebody was kind enough to post explicit instructions for doing just that. helped me a great deal. don't have my clie handy and i don't remember the thread name, but i do remember that it comes up in search.

THANKS! That helped a lot! Tonight is the first time I've listened to the audio player. I'm really impressed with the sound quality

its in the cd manual that comes wiht the nz but for quick reference on the ms make a folder called msaudio. ie palm>program>msaudio. It will recognize the mp3s.

Did your Clie format the memory stick?

My NZ formatted my MS into 6 folders

CONTROL

DCIM

HIFI

MISC

MQ_ROOT

PALM

If you go in the PALM folder, 2 folders

Launcher

PROGRAMS

If you go into PROGRAMS, 4 folders

CLIE_Viewer

MSAUDIO

MSFILES

MSSOUND

I put all my MP3s directly in the MSAUDIO folder. It looks exactly like Ark said, but I didn't format it myself.  PALM/PROGRAMS/MSAUDIO

Incidentally, I download my pictures from my 717 to the DCIM/101MSDCF folder.

Hope that this helps more than it confuses.

so the folder structure is the same as previouse clie's?

i should just be able to use my current memory stick which I use in my NR70V, and it will just work ...?

That is where I put my music files
