Have U experienced that it's really embarrassing if pronouncing other's name incorrectly especiallty the name is so rare and weird. Is there any CLIE/Palm software to help and provide real voice demonstration of the pronunciation of name?

i don't care what other people think. people that tend to get embarrassed or feel humiliated a lot are generally conceited in their retarded thinking such that they assume everyone around actually cares about them and their actions. right. that's absurd.

It could be embarassing if you're going for a job interview and hit it wrong :-). I don't think this would be possible because different people with the same name pronounce it differently. The answer is such a program doesn't exist though.

there's a program called PDA speak that reads out words on the palm, i've not tried it yet since i've only heard bad reviews...

Take the Clie (Klee AYE) for example...

Sounds like somebody needs to take the stick out of his bum.

It makes sense. Especially, some people likes to choose uncommon names in other languages to indicate his/her particularity. It makes others intentionally or unintentionally difficult to call them correctly.

One minor reason for me to seek this program is that I just want to choose a name for my new baby! ;) , but by no way I can see how to pronounce it when I seek help from websites/books for baby naming

I think I'd try neither after looking at other's comment. Thanks anyway.

Because of the 'é', I guess you have to pronunce it the french way.

Try http://www.research.att.com/projects/tts/demo.html with Juliette... French and write "clié" in the box (you'll have to find the 'é' in windows charmap.exe (alt+0233 on my french computer) or copy paste from here.

This is now one of my favorite sites. You can make this program say anything. I can make a British guy say that penguins are stealing his thoughts.

Wow! I've tried this site and it's really incredibly smart. It even provides different voices of male and female speakers.

Cool!
