Anyone using Avantage 1.6?

I have been trying to get Avantage 1.6 to work with AvantGo Beta 5.2 Build 8 for days now.
Every time I move it via Avantage I get the following message on my desktop, [its a timed message] as well as in my hotsync log:

The version of AvantGo on this device is incompatible with the version of AvantGo
on your computer.
Please upgrade your device software and sync again.

AvantGo Connect synchronization failed

AvantGo works on its own, but not when moved onto the MS via Avantage which is all the app is suppose to do.
I have spoken to the company and they have said that they feel its an issue with the Sony Clie, because it works on TT.
I can seem to understand why that would be.
AvantGo works on its own.
I have AvantGo set to sync the downloads to the Palm/Programs/AvantGo folder.
Cant seem to figure it out.
Anyone know or use this successfully on a Sony NX?

I ran into the same problem. I just removed advantage and avantgo altogether. If and when AvantGo gets around to making their app OS5 ready then Advantage will be ready. It must be hard to get an app to work with a buggy beta.

You shouldn't use Avantage with AG 5.2, no need to. I deleted AG 5.2 from my NX, but it did work fine from the MS. It was just a bit slower. I put AG and mobile connect into the launcher folder. The downloaded clips go onto the MS via an option in the menu for the card.

It was NOT buggy nor was it hard nor did you need Avantange!

It was not HiRes+, but it worked!!! It also worked via WIFi. I just stopped using it as it was faster for me to go directly to the web via the internet.

What I don't understand is that the company rep. told me that he has Avantage working on a TT with OS5 and the beta version of AvantGo.
I have tried iSilo, HandStory, and Plucker but I could not get my Yahoo to work on them as I can with AvantGo.
I PRAY that the next version will pick up the pace a bit for it is very slow.
Also the reason I would like to get Avantage to work is because I can pickup another 850k of memory if it can work as it did on my m515.
I have AvantGo sync'ing the web pages to the MS now but the app is pretty hefty.

The bulk of the Avantgo I put on the memory stick, very little in RAM and it HotSync'd just fine, even via WiFi. Your making it more complicated than need be.

It's the writing to the Memory Stick that slows it down.

I don't understand.
If I place AvantGo in the Launch folder on the MS it wont sync when I hotsync, will
it?
I thought only apps on the RAM would only sync.
Please advise.

Avantgo can be placed on the MS, it's not Avantgo that syncs, but the small program called AGConnect.

Yes it does work form the Launch folder.
I don't understand then why it does not work from Avantage or even for that matter
why when I tried to move it to the card via PowerRun it did not work and gave me
the incompatible message.
Strange...
Is there a work around?
I would like it on the card but I would also like to have a shortcut on my All screen.
