I agree that the programs are very similar.
I have used HandyShopper since 1999 and am very pleased to see the continued effort from the developer to update this already full-featured program and amazingly doing it for free.
I remember when the SplashShopper alternative first appeared on the scene around 2000. It looked very basic but the great feature that it has had is the desktop for both Windows and Macs.
Since its initial offering, SplashShopper has been updated several times and added many of the features that HandyShopper has. Some of the few remaining advantages of HandyShopper though:
Better sorting
Ability to view Tax in the main view
Free
Anyone want to comment? I looked at SplashShopper recently and even though it has improved a lot, I am still going to use HandyShopper as I have been. I do use SplashID and SplashMoney though but there's little integration between Splash Suite programs.
