View Full Version : CO Dtae book sync problem

HI Folks,
Just picked up my TH55 yesterday and am enjoying it thus far except for one thing:
It hangs everytime during a sync when it gets the syncing CO datebook.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
I have tried renaming my data folder (the one with your username in your sony handheld folder on your PC) so as to generate a new folder thinking it may be somethign in there.
Cannot figure otu what to do and the people at the sony store - are not of any realy help. I know there are a ton of knowledgeable people on this forumand am hoping to find someone who can point me in the right direction...
I did a search onthis and nothing turned up - so that is probably good news insofar as it means it must be something I am doing and not an error inherent to the software.

I really don't know on this one. From your description, it sounds like the rest of the sync is working, so it's not a connection issue. And if you really renamed the username file on the desktop, then it shouldn't have anything to sync. Maybe try changing both the CO Datebook and the regular Datebook hotsync entries to handheld overwrites desktop and see if the sync works then.

Otherwise, maybe give us some more info on your specific situation. For example, what model are you upgrading from. Did you install the new Palm Desktop for Clie or are you using an old Palm Desktop? Also, I remember something in the instructions about the order of installing Palm Desktop for Clie and CO for PC (I think Palm Desktop for Clie had to be installed first, but I'm not sure about that). Did you follow that order? If not, you might want to try removing both CO for PC and Palm Desktop and reinstalling both in the correct order.

A few of us have also experinced sync hangs with Clie Org apps. You might want to look at this thread, which details the steps I took to work my way around a similar Clie Org-induced sync snafu:
