winxp can't detect MS

I'm posting this here because this happened after i installed Data Import.

This is what happened: I followed the instructions on the first page on the stick thread. after that, winxp was able to detect the cf as a removable storage (although i'm having the problem of "cf not formatted"). when i try to run data import on the ms, it can't connect to the pc, it always says, check PC connection.

any ideas? thanks.

I just noticed the same problem with my work computer & Win98SE.

I was looking for help and saw your msg.

Windows says it can't find the Sony Mass storage device driver.

Well I just read the entire CF/Newbie thread.

I'm bringing my card reader from home and I'll do it that way.

got the problem fixed, i re-installed/repaired the Palm Desktop.

My card reader causes profound blue screens of death on my Win98SE machine at work.

Oh, to be able to bring up my CF as a drive in Explorer!!
