Hi,

I'm having a problem playing converted video on my clie. After converting it and sending it to the clie, the video can be opened in movie player but when i press play, it just skips to the last frame of the video.. no playback.

tried doing the same thing with numerous videos but with no luck. movie player can still play videos that it takes though and i had no problems playing videos before this..

anyone experienced this sort of problem before? or have any insights on how i can fix this?
:(

Cheers,

Chyval

What kind of sourcevideofile did you give imageconverter for conversion?
Videocodec, Audiocodec?

Do you try to playback from cf or ms?

2 of them were encoded in divx (avi), and 2 of them were mpegs(not sure of the codec).. mpegs work fine.. but the avis can't play..

playing back from ms.. any ideas?

Like I asked before, what video and audio codecs did the files have?
You need to add the divx version and the audiocodecs the divx-audios used.

For me imageconverter 1.0 can only convert divx up to version 4.12 and audio has to be uncompressed audio!
There is more than one thread that expains how to for example only convert the audio of a divx to uncompressed to be able to convert with imageconverter (virtualdub for example can easily do that).

oh, sorry if i left the versions out, the 2 vids that cannot be played are divx version 4.3 encoded.

so you mean that there's no way i can play those vids on a clie? it's quite a pity because most vids are encoded in divx 4 and up nowadays...

did a search on conversions, trying to convert again now.. thanks..
