From discussion forum at Iambic's website:
Hello,

I saw numerous postings from users reporting that the About Box of Agendus shows:

iambic Agendus 6.0 beta build 277

Actually the released build is 278.

We investigated the problem and found out that some of the files we placed yesterday in the download area during a pre launch test have not been overwritten by the new ones.

Fortunately this is not cause of any issue in the application itself, as the ONLY DIFFERENCE between build 277 and 278 is the about box. The build 278 does not mention "BETA" anymore.

If you happen to have downloaded Agendus 6 between 12PM and 6PM PST you might have build 277, in which case you may download 278 by visiting:

http://my.iambic.com/upgrade/

We apologize for this little cosmetic problem. Again, the word "beta" in the about box is the only difference between builds 277 and 278.

Thank you very much for promptly notifying us about it.

Downloaded mine and now the word "Beta" is gone from the Info screen. That ought to make Tbelles one happy camper! :D :D

Why would you change build IDs if there is no difference between versions? Sounds stupid.

Can't argue with that, but they did build a beautiful app!

Yes, I am most happy.

(and I am learning I am too anal about things)

They changed it because people don't want to pay anywhere from ten bucks to twenty five bucks for beta software!

Yesterday it was beta...today it is "final." ;)

I just went to download the above 6.01 version but noticed after the install that I still have:

v.6.0 Beta
Jan 14 2003 13:10:27 build 227

on my NR. And not only that, the following little problem has reappeared:

"...problems with going full screen on my NR70V. When I tap the "down" arrow my V/G area disappears and leaves a white area, and the Agendus bar with "1", "7", "31" etc. stays in position."

Nothing changes when I re-install the original 6.0 version. So I have gone from a working version to a screwed up one in one (upgrade) download...

What gives? Anyone? TIA

uhmmm, I beg to differ... they still pay $100 for Microsoft! :D :p

Microsoft even offered to allow me to alpha-test XP, if I would give them $10... I turned them down...

The reason for my above problem was that I had the old version of Agendus in ROM. So all is well now.
