I have only recently purchased my NX73V and I'd like to know what I can do with the Flash Player that comes with it?

What kinds of things can I play and where do I get them?

Any help gratefully received.

Ashley.

Any Flash file created with Flash 5 is pretty much fair game. If you visit a site with a cool Flash app that you like, just select "Tools" from IE's menu bar and open "Internet Options". Under "General" select "Settings" and then click "View Files." If you haven't cleared out your Temporary Files folder in a while, you're going to have to sift through a lot of crap to find the Flash file you want. Look for anything with a .swf extention. When you find the one you're looking for, just copy it into the "MMFlash" folder on your MS via Data Import.

XiaoXiao.com and homestarrunner.com have a ton of cool Flash animations that play great on Clies. Just remember that a lot of Flash games require keyboard input to play properly. Even though your NX73 has a keyboard, most (if not all) Flash games won't recognize it. Also, any animation/game created with Flash MX (the latest version) won't be able to play on your NX73.

Hope this helps.

Just an added note...

For anyone using IE, I'd highly recommend myie2 www.myie2.com to give you tabbed browsing and a skinnable interface, as well as kill ad-popups (though not as robust as a 3rd party addon some would argue). One of the other neat things about it is that it comes with a little "Flash Saver" add-on.

By clicking on the little flash styled "f" icon (which looks like the Clie Flash icon), you open a window where you can directly choose to either preview or save a Flash file directly by right-clicking on it.

A worthwhile addition that doesn't affect performance on my machine, and makes things SO much more convenient. No more browsing Temp files for swfs :D

Thanks for the tip, Antboy. I'll give it a shot - searching the temp file can be a real pain in the ***** sometimes.

If you're using MyIE2, check that the "Plugins Bar" is active under the View->Toolbars pull down menu. If it IS activated, make sure you have the Flash Plugin, which IIRC is automatically installed with MyIE2.
