View Full Version : Getting my contacts onto Th55

Migrating from a Psion 5MX.
I have managed to get all of my contacts into outlook (from the Psion Data function).
Everything seems to have mapped ok - I have mapped the address field in Psion to Home address in Contacts.

When I do the sync with the TH55 (using the intellisync provided on the CD) - it happily pulls across my appointments (except historical stuff as reported elsewhere) and also seems to do so with contacts.

Problem is, it pulls across all fields except the "Address" field. I have tried renaming the "home address" field in outlook to "address" but it make no difference.

Any ideas before I uninstall all software, hard reset the Clie and start from scratch again?

thanks

If I recall correctly (having only set this up twice in my lifetime), there are 3 different address options in the Outlook side of the Intellisync field-mapping box.

If you dig further into your Intellisync settings for Contacts, you should find the field-mapping section, which allows you to link the specific Outlook field to the specific Clie field.

Use this section to either pick home, business, or address (which is generic) to port to your Clie.  I used to use address, because it would pick up whatever was in my Outlook (whether business or home category) and move it to the Clie.  One thing I did notice over time (with my old Clie/Intellisync) was that the Clie would sync stuff back to my Outlook business address, sometimes making a dupe within a person's file in Outlook.  So pick one, and stick to it on both sides.

Hope that helps.
