Is there such as thing as a non-notify reset on a TH55? This is the Palm OS reset that is more than a soft-reset, but not a hard reset. What it does is perform a soft reset, but prevent any OS hooks or patches from loading. On a Palm model, you hold the page-up button while hitting the reset pin. I can't find anything on Sony's support site or in this forum.
When I hold the left-button on the back next to the jog dial while hitting the reset pin, it looks like it does something similar to this non-notify reset, but there is no Graffiti area at all, The button assignments point nowhere, and there is otherwise lots of quirky behavior like this.
Can anyone explain what's going on? Or is there a different way to do this non-notify reset?
