Is it possible to hide the statusbar (the bar at the bottom) with an application? I know it has to be possible since certain apps (zLauncher & snails) can already run in full-screen mode. It would be really useful for reading documents on the palm.

I think it is up the the individual application.

I've got oodles of apps on my device, and the status bar is always present, including ZLauncher. However, given it's extremely small size, I don't find it intrusive at all. It's downright handy to have the icons present, for navigation and other essential purposes.

Depending on the app, some have an option to hide the status bar. In ZLauncher, go to the Preferences, then look in the bottom bar options. Check the Full Screen option and the status bar will disappear.

I'd just like to have a way to disable it on the fly so that in apps like piscel viewer or Repligo I can use the full screen to view my documents

1ns4nity, the status bar has been on Clies for about 2 years now, ever since the NR70, and there's never been a hack that can hide it, so I wouldn't hold your breath. Certain apps like the ones mentioned have figured out a way to hide it within the app itself, but nothing global. It would be useful for some apps though. However, you'll probably get better results if you contact the developers of apps that you think would gain by something like this and see if they can figure it out for their specific app.
