Heyo there! Long time lurker, first time poster.
I have a question regarding my SJ-22's DateBook 4.1.
When using Palm Desktop software for the PC, I am able to set an event to repeat, then if I so choose, I can edit the entry and affect ONLY that current entry for that particular day. However, when I try doing the same on my Clie's DateBookm I don't get the "Apply changes to Current" option and instead, the change affects all subsequent entries, which is really annoying. As a consequence, I have to copy and then delete the entry for that particular day, and then repaste it with the new changes.
So, can anyone give me some hints here? I would appreciate it greatly! Thanks!

When editing a repeating event, I get three choices:
Current
Future
All
How are you editing the event?

Thanks for the prompt response.
Well see, here's the thing: In the PC software, I do get an edit button, however, in the Palm OS software, I only see a "New," "Details" and "Go To" button. Sadly, no edit. When I type into a repeating event, I don't get the options you mentioned. Is there another way of editing an event?
I am using version 4.14S of Date Book.

Tesiae,
When you're in the Desktop and you double-click on a repeating event (with the intent to edit it in some way), you get a screen that allows you to edit the event. It is only AFTER you make the change (to the description, time, etc.) that the Desktop prompts with "Current," "Future," "All," or "Cancel." At least that's how my Desktop works (Palm Desktop 4.0.1).
This is virtually identical to the PDA. On the "Day" view, you do indeed see "New," "Details," and "GoTo." The "Details" choice is analogous to the Desktop's double click. You are now ready to change some aspect of the event. If you change the time or the Private, Note, or Date, you then get the choices just like the Desktop. If you change the "Repeat" setting, then you will NOT be prompted.
Please describe your exact procedure so we can help you out, in case this isn't clear.
Tom

Thanks for the reply.
So here is my procedure.
I have an entries for my Biology class set for Tuesdays + Thursdays from 7:15-8:40pm, to be repeated weekly until a given date.
Now let's suppse on one of those entries for next week, I want to amend it to state that I have an exam on Tuesday. If I simply write into it "Exam Chapter 2," it will affect all subsequent entries no matter what. I don't get an option to "Apply changes to 'Current, etc."
So what I end up doing is copying the entry, deleting the entry (now I do get the "Apply Changes" window), then creating a new entry for the specified time, pasting, then writing in what I wanted add. This is quite cumbersome.

Hmm, I just noticed something.
If I click on the event.. then Details, then Note, I do get the "Apply changes.." screen and it does indeed leave it rife for editing. Happy, happy! That should do it!
Thanks for your help!

Thought I'd respond to tell u that I have EXACTLY the same problem with datebook also, so u won't feel like u're crazy !!
I have a sj22 - expect u do too, which currently comes with 4.1 OS
As u clearly described, u can change the entry in the PC s/w but when u chage it on the PDA, it doesn't prompt u for a time variable:all,current,future... but changes all entries that haven't changed from the original post. (at first I thought it defaulted to current and future).
That is different from making a change on the PDA to attaching a note, which I understand u were not doing originally., and which doesnt do what I think u want to do - have the changes readily available in the datebook view.. ( me too) - seems like a bug to me.
I'm sorry that I dont have a solution.
