Is there any equivalent application like SONY's sound converter2 for the mac platform? I was trying to convert some polyphonic .mid-files into clie-alarm sounds, but got no acceptable results. After using Quicktime Player to save them as .aif-files and than converting them into 8kHz, mono, 16bit wave files (with SoundApp PPC), I was able to save them with Voice Rec (on the Clie) as alarm sounds. But the sound is very low and Voice Rec cuts them when they are bigger than 68 kB. It would be very kind, if someone who has already solved this problem, could help me with this question.

I'm using MacOS 9.2 / MacOS X.1 and the NX 70V

Thank you.

I'd love to know the answer to this too... but also how to turn mp3 into .mid for the other half of my pocket kit, my new T610... there seems to be a dearth of decent OS X kit for sound conversion on places like Versiontracker and the like.
