Must have appplication! The new Contacts 4 program for Phone Numbers and much more has just been released. I participated in the Beta testing of the program and today it is being released to the public. In the coming future the 360 x 420 High-Res will be released, for now they have the 360 x 360 version. Check it out at pda performance.com.

Honestly I think this is a bloated piece of software. I usually try new things with about a strict 10 minute time limit and give it a thumbs up or down. In those 10 minutes of trial I give it a thumbs down. I always re-try this progam, but it just doesn't do it for me like SuperNames or TealPhone. Looks pretty though.

Wow, I just tried it and came to the exact same conclusion as Tixx. It has a really nice use of color-- fantastic, even. But it is too congested for my needs.

Perhaps folks with thousands of contacts may find more use for it than me. (I only have hundreds of contacts) :)

Just thought I would give some Clie users the inside scope but I can see it really wasn't worth the effort. I tried supernames and the others but this is by far the best contacts program for palm in my MIND! So I will enjoy, Later

It is way too big (707k!) and not even hires+ yet. definitely not even close in my mind

Hey, not knocking you, just the program. Don't take it so personal. We always like to hear about the latest applications and programs. I gave it a try and gave my opinion of that program, that's all. Thanks for the head up though:)

Could be some of these folks are confusing this app with another called Contacts Pro by Mobimate.

I actually like this program.

Great use of colors and wonderful way to look at my contacts.

I was using agendus, and that thing is bloat ware....

Thanks...

Your contacts app is so big.. you gotta put in two zip codes. One for the phone number and another for the app! ;)

Yay for OcellNuri on that one...

Hmmm, too fancy for me, I'll just stick to Agendus.

It had a nice way of handling Hi-Res (a good mix of standard resolution and hi-res screen), but it was very confusing to use.

no offense, but contacts 4 is horrible..... until hires+ comes out, this program is horrible....... way to fuzzy, and way to many features!

Um, its 320x480 and 320x480

I tried it but non-hi-res+ sucks so i'll have to wait. You also cant attach pics to my knowledge which doesnt make it much better than the standard one imho. Also there is no such thing as too many features, i think that many is great, what i dont think is great is that you cant hide them.

Close but no cigar : P

Nice use of colors, BUT:

I agree with several others about this app.

1. No Hi-Res+ Support.
2. Way too busy/cluttered.
3. Way too bloated, why is this program so BIG??

If they resolve all of these issues I may give it another look/try. This thing turned me off after about 30 seconds.

I'm not trying to be harsh, but Palm OS apps should be intuitive and not so bloated. This is by one of the larger address book enhancement apps for the Palm OS. Considering that it uses your built-in address database, it should not be this big, maybe 500k at most.

It is apparent that no one read my first thread. You must down load the high-res application and not the regular color version. Yes the app. is large but isn't that why we all have MS's. Enjoy!

Hi-Res (320X320) is not Hi-Res+(320X480). Your original post says, "In the coming future the 360 x 420 High-Res will be released, for now they have the 360 x 360 version." ?????
In my post I said that lack of Hi-Res+ was one reason why I don't like it.

As far as the app being large and arguing that is what the MS is for, that's a weak argument that doesn't address the issue.

High-Res has nothing to do with the screen size. Yes the Contacts 4 will be 360 x 420 High-Res very soon and as to the issue of MS and size of the program, this is not my issue because I am not the developer. I like the program, I have tried every other contacts program using all palm formats from CE to Pocket PC, 2002 PC and all of the Palm OS applications. I like the Contacts 4, large size or not, it is a quality program! Later
