While searching amazon I happened to stumble upon the Netgear 802.11a WAP for only 26$. The list price is $399 which is a 93% saving! Definetly an error, buy them while it lasts.. check it here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000649CH/blindmelon)

nope, its probably right, Wireless routers have been heavily discounted lately. My dad got his D-link for like 50 (can), the other day I saw one in the best buy flyer for free (with rebates and such), but I doubth they would have one when you got there (I think the add said 5 per store or something), but just shows you , they are dirt cheap right now.......

yeah but the dlinks got discounted from 79 down to 59. Here we are talking about a list price of 399$ down to 26$. If you froogle this netgear the cheapest price that comes up is 188$

Remember, this is 802.11a. The market for this technology has really plummented due to 802.11g. This is just a fire sale. After all, how many people here have 802.11a clients that could take advantage of this great deal? (btw, I do, but I already have a 11a WAP).

Agreed... a dump off of the "loosing" wireless technology. Even though 11a technology was faster than 11b, it's short range really was what killed it sales wise. With 11g around now, these types of access points are being flushed off of shelves everywhere.
Still a heck of a deal if you want an 11a unit.
