T615 to T665 - worth it??

Well now that the t665 can be had for around $269, what do you folks think, would it be worth it to switch at this point from a T615, since the T615 could probably be sold for around $175 for a net difference of about $100. For me the display is most important, plus the somewhat higher speed, MP3 is secondary.

I like the form factor of the Tseries. My thought is maybe use the T665 for about 6 to 8 months till we see what they do with the Tseries models (as opposed to the new "brick").

Also any thoughts on T665 vs N series? I like the screen on those but do not think I would use the tiny keyboard. I worry about that swivel hinge.

Just wondering what the group thinks.

I would recommend the T665C anytime. I actually compared it side by side with my friend's 615 and the picture color quality is really different from each other , the 665 showing much better quality. As for speed, viewing Jpgs on the card also shows quite a lot of difference. about 15 secs diferrence viewing a 500k pic.

I'm looking to sell my T-415 and get a T-615C. If you are willing to deal and live in the southeast (US). I may be able to help you get a little closer to getting that T-665C.

Dave, I don't live in the southeast, but mail / UPS could get it there I am sure. The unit is in great condition. I have used a screen protector and 3rd party case from day 1. Used T615 are going for about $175 on Ebay.

I would wait till spring and see what sony is going to release next. Not too much different between 615 and 655

I would wait too, and remember you would be getting the new OS5.

I made the switch from the T615C to the T665C and am very pleased I did so. I talk about the reasons in my T665C review on my website. Short answer: much better color and over twice the memory stick access speed.
