Installed SplashWallet Suite and had no problems. Just synched today and after tried to open the Splash Shopper Desktop program and it said "There was an error creating the SplashShopper Desktop dir - C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\Russ\SplashShopper." I had previously had another login name Russ_Old1 that I had used previously and had taken that info out. Everything still worked fine for about a week then today had that problem. Also, in my Sony Handheld folder my name isn't Russ it's Russ0. Everything else works fine, hotsync and all, and everything installs and synchs to the name Russ... Anyone else have this problem??? ANy help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
Russ

Just to let you know, I didn't add the 0 to the end of the name... It was just that way in the folder...

If an account is added to Palm Desktop, and its 6-letter abbreviation (or full name in your case) already exists, Palm Desktop will create the new ones with numbers added. Chances are you once created a new and identical HotSync name instead of hard resetting and choosing the old name from the pulldown menu.

The list of accounts is in the users.dat file in the Palm directory (or the Sony directory), but this file isn't in a user-editable format. It might be possible to blow away this file and move the user directory -- then a fresh users.dat and directory should be created. However, I can't vouch for whether this works or not. :-)
