My NX80V is fairly new, I had it for 3 months now. I just recently ran into this problem.
My screen resolution goes bad. it goes from high resolution to low crappy resolution, when i open the clie. It doesn't happen when i rotate the screen it only happens when i'm opening and closing the whole top screen part. i thought it might be dirty so i'm going to try to use compressed air. I keep it in my pocket all the time, maybe there lint in the clie which is causing it.
Have any of you had this problem too, can it be a defective clie that needs repairs. any suggestions.
This is the best clie i had ever had, and i want it to last me a long time.....

Could you post a pic so we see what you are talking about, I'm having a hard time visualizing it.

That's interesting. I don't think I've seen anyone with that problem, but I will tell you that I have had my NX for about the same time as you, and also similarly to you I mainly keep it in my pocket while I'm at work. (At first sans-case, and then later with)
I'm not certain if this will help, but last week I took my NX80 out of my pocket, and out of my case to snap some quick pics, and my screen was cracked. The crack starts from the area in which the four hardbuttons originate, all the way up/down straight through the middle of the screen, which is still pretty shocking to me even now. I have no idea whatsoever how this happened. I don't do ANYTHING during my day that would have caused this inadvertently, or otherwise. No pressure/excessive heat or anything in my pocket, and having experienced it, I have to say I hope that it doesn't happen to anyone else who takes good care of their unit.
I only offer my predicament to you, in order to explain that while my system still works fine,:( I have noticed that there is some type of LCD "seepage" that is spreading outward from the cracked area of my screen. Someone more experienced with electronics, or PDA assembly in general may have a better explanation for you.

I've never come across this but what I could tell you is that there are connections at the base of the screen where it rotates. Check if while closing or opening the screen, the connections go too far apart or something. maybe there's something loose on the Clie which is causing this ... maybe there's dust on those connections that causes problems when you open or close ... just some thoughts ... I dont know how much it will help .. posting a picture of this may help ...
