What the heck is a "contents icon"?

Hey, all. I was playing around with my TH55, and after a few synchronizations noticed a little "movie reel" type icon show up in my views for given days. I noticed that when I unchecked the preference for "show content icons", they disappeared.
What in the heck are these things? I couldn't tap on them, they would just highlight but do nothing. They seemed to show up after I had deleted an appointment or all day event.

I would like for these things not to show up at all, so does anybody know what these are?

i think they let you know what day(s) you have recorded memo's or taken pictures on.

Thanks for your reply. As per usual, I posted this without searching. I performed a search for "contents icon", and came up with several threads. It seems no one really knows how to make that icon not show up (randomly). I hadn't added any content to the particular days in question, so I'm not sure why that icon would show up...
Anyway, thank you. I guess I'll just leave the checkbox un-checked for now!
